problems with installation [message #478175]

Recruit

Tried to reinstall after installing windows fresh.

Sometimes I get an error relating to bandtest.dll

Other times everything is ok until I install the latest TT patch at which point when I open renegade the screen stays black and renegade does not respond.

Anyone had similar issues or know how to fix this. Other than just not installing TT when I get the bandtest.dll error to disappear.

Which windows?
Make sure your DirectX and video card drivers are up-to-date.

(It was supposed to be stickied but it still isn't :/ )

EDIT: I just read there might be a problem with NVidia's latest drivers;

Keep an eye on that and see if he is successful with the 306 version.

Have you tried running wwconfig again? Afaik it sometimes happens that the settings aren't correct after installing TT, so running the config again could fix this.
