not 100% sure but did you recently re install renegade and forgot the 1.037 patch? If so the get the English patch from ftp://ftp.westwood.com/pub/renegade/updates/Renegade_1037_En glish.exe

for other languages use ftp://ftp.westwood.com/pub/renegade/updates/
