i dont use a bot at the moment, but i have installed brenbot, cloudy serv to try out. i dont like them so im writing my own.

i need renguard, so i download latest version for server and unpacked it, when i run it the console comes up for a sec or so. some writing appears and it goes off. i cant get a screen shot as it goes off too fast. i have eaven tryed slowing my pc down by creating a infenet loop in c++ but it still goes off too fast. what could this be???

Run it from cmd.exe and the text will stay on the screen so you can read it.

EG, if your bot is called bot.exe, in the folder C:\mybot

run cmd.exe
type

cd c:\mybot <press enter>
bot.exe <press enter>

Your bot will run, and when it crashes it will stay on screen Wink

EXAMPLE;

I cut most of the window off, but you get the idea.

oh yea. thx. but i dont want to run brenbot anyway. i just want rengaurd on my server. brenbot will stop the bot that i am writing, working.

yeah, but I meant you could run the renguard server program from command console, it means you can take a screenshot of any error messages without it closing on you.

The brenbot picture was just an example of how it works

looks to me as if you have two versions of PERL installed on your machine, one at C:\Perl and the other at D:\cpanrun, but I am no expert on the perl engine itself..

i uninstalled perl and it works ok, in a way...

i put the exe and config file in Server dir, changed renguard.cfg to match server settings. when i run it. it says that it has connected. when i go on the server i expect that message and that renguard sound. but i dont, i dont even know renguard is running. i have been kicked for not running it though, just kicked it didnt say anything
