The victim(s) and or the victims family should be able to choose the guy's fate...

(Like, to be able to choose the slowest, most tortuous, and most painful death possible.)

THat would be solitary confinement; not the poking and tearing of torturing. I betcha that it'd hurt mentally ALOT more to have 3 or 4 years of solidary than to just get shocked and a free ticket out of jail and into pergatory.
