From what i remember i have done that before... but it did cause a few problems such as

Overwriting tracks(thats possible apparently and they had problems with mixed sounds)
Tracks not even working
Most CD players could not run the CD

I don't remember what type i used. But i do remember it was MP3 files and before adding worked fine in all CD players i don't think this is much help aside from saying it works(sort of)
