Problem installing VS 2005 [message #392606]

I'm trying to install Visual Studio 2005 but the installprogram "thinks" another program is still waiting to be completed :/
I tried restarting the pc but that didnt fix it neither.
It probably saved some stuff in the registry which stops vs from installing now.
Does anyone know where windows keeps history of 'currently installing' programs so i can remove the entry and allow vs to install?
