ok, I looked for "black screen" and found advice to reinstall scripts.

That fixed it

Now that I got the game working (I can see it), I still cannot connect.

"Unable to connect
Unable to connect to Westwood Studios"

I assume installing the script package broke it? Thats what started me on this path in the first place. I tried them originally just to fix my "FPS=0" display.
