Mine does that too, It seems like it freezes on a random .mix from the first CnC game it searches through. If I hide the folder of the first one it searches, it freazes on a .mix from the next game, etc.
I just add a "-" to the end of the Westwood folder when I open XCC Mixer, and delete the hyphen after it's opened so it doesn't freeze trying to search for .mix files.
