Seriously. If MicroSoft wants to somehow find a way to patent EmotIcons/Smilies(good luck beating America On-Line/Time Warner to it), then by all means. Let them. They're a waste of space, in my opinion. Particularly the ones with attached sound effects. God, those are particularly annoying. . .
