gdi guard towers you probably need to add 'M00_Base_Defense' Script or one of the JFW ones...

Beacons you put a beacon script on top of the pedestal. Its at Ob ject -> Script Zone -> CnC -> Beacon. Place it in the same way as a vehicle contruction zone or tiberium field...
