hard cold fact: being taught about something doesn't mean you're being indoctrinated, just informed.

Cold hard fact: many (I would venture to say the majority) of today's state university professors attempt to indocrinate their students with extremely liberal or even communist doctrine and eliminate opposition to their views from the students, usually by failing the student because he presents an opposing view. These professors receive payment from taxpayer dollars, yet they actively eliminate opposition to their own views.

Academic freedom is very hard to come by in one of today's state universities.

"Because of the actions of a few assholes" is another understatement. True, this law may be one of the worse ways to deal with the problem, but you can't say it doesn't exist because, well, it does.
