i miss being able to play in a server with the gameplay that I personally find the most interesting without having to worry about the ren drama revolving around whoever owns the server. for some reason people in game keep poking me and asking me questions about the administration even though i'm just a normal (albeit highly skilled hehe) player :/ while I understand the rage and flames over the scandal and the urges to punish, it just seems wrong to be channeling this much hate into a game that's supposed to be an enjoyable pastime...

Its supposed to be a game, not a company they have to defend... They shouldn't be forced to read about this rendrama or be dragged into it. If the people in charge of communities do something wrong, punish them, not the players of the servers..
perhaps a good analogy here would be to compare servers to themeparks. There shouldnt be people harassing you to get out of the theme park just because the owner of the park does something.. I just wanna frigging ride the rollercoaster, not get involved in the politics.

i have plenty of experience in that area liquid.. as in the area of being on the receiving end. I mean, i used to play on jelly too (still have my 700 recs there if u don't believe me).. there have been cheaters and hackers and what not ruining games for years. and storm isn't particularly immune from it either. I fully understand the rage you feel against this sort of thing. I'm just saying that you shouldn't direct that rage at the people around the culprit.
Let me extend the theme park analogy.. Suppose there's a theme park whose owner decided to pour trash into another theme park. What you're doing is roughly the same as going up to the park visitors/staff and branding them as criminals or accomplices unless they leave the park. While you are fully right in being outraged that this park owner decided to pollute other parks, harassing the visitors/staff at his park is just the wrong way to go about it.
similarly, as a visitor.. we should be able to just go to whatever park has rides which we find the most enjoyable, not get entangled in whatever political situation the park is in.

Before I switched to st0rm, I remember being friends with ya. I was also a temp mod on jelly a few times when Meehlimo was still around with Jelly map pack and mini aow.
Maybe after a couple months fly by, st0rm and jelly have a joint community event. Have a temp mod team composed of mods from both servers and have the maps be some of wilo's crazy shit like death_st0rm, st0rm_arach, etc? Another option would be mods for both communities against the public for both communities. I would not suggest anything st0rm vs jelly though to prevent more rage.
One issue I have seen after reading all the posts is the hateful remarks. Keep posting them if you want to keep people fighting and at each other's throat. It doesn't help anything.
Ultimately, its time for a cookie after writing this :P

Yes, you attacked Jelly many times, but in the big picture, is Jelly still functioning? Does it look like they lost any players? Are they collapsing now because you attacked them? No.. People complained on Jelly obviously, but its still there. Its not like you destroyed a whole community.
