Anyone know where i can get the pure setup files for IE6 that i can resume? Without having to download that 300KB web installation file, and waiting for it to update itself.

I love the idea of things like this, but it's crap for people with slow/bad connections.

Read my post again. I don't need that tiny 479KB web setup file, i'm asking for the full 25MB setup in 'file' format, so i can put it on a few computers.

The web setup should resume the download if your connection drops during the install. Anyway, there is not a distribution edition of IE6 for download, you have to order a CD to get it.

However with a command line parameter, you can get it to dump the files to you hard drive. You didn't specify if you have a broadband connection, if you do I can post the process of downloading it to your hard drive here. Anyway I included a download link below.

The version I have below is for windows XP/2000 only, if you need the full 25Mb one which includes Win 9x/ME and Windows NT, just ask. Likewise if you need just Win 9x/ME or Windows NT on their own I can download the individual versions.

Use DAP or something to get it to resume. http://www.btinternet.com/~glenn_hunt/IE6.zip

		Bit late but ........

Download setup file, then run it like so

"D:\ie6setup.exe" /c:"ie6wzd.exe /d /s:""#E"

(change path to where you saved file to)
