Recruit

1. upgrade server files to beta 4 tt4.0

2. After auto update on client version 4.0 4650

Server refused connection evicted client due to version mismatch.

Why is this an issue ? and is there a fix ?

Does it tell you "version mismatch" or some TT message like "client version ... is not compatible to server version ..." (not sure about the exact phrasing of the latter)? In the first case, something is wrong with the default Renegade files, corrupt always.dat, objects.ddb, etc. In the latter case it is an issue caused by incompatible versions of TT.

If you get a version mismatch, check if you can join another server with your client. If so, it's a server side issue, otherwise a client side issue.

You were right I had an old objects.ddb file corrupt in data folder I found that, I fixed it. I cant duplicate the error I changed out the file thanks for the info It's no longer an issue however for future ref. A file issue will cause this version mismatch message.
