I don't care if this sounds biased but I think it is so good that it will replace Renegade. Have you played it yet? It has to be the best remake of renegade ever but with more features and beter graphics.

Yes. It has had a few releases already and is in a perfectly playable condition. It is very fun to play, but you have to find the right server or else the lag will take away from the experience.

Version .55 is out now and that requires Unreal Tournament 3 if you want to play Renegade X. However, in a couple months, Renegade X: Black Dawn will be released, which is a stand-alone single player mission for the game that doesn't require UT3 to be installed.

All releases of Renegade X after Black Dawn will not require UT3 to be installed.

Because it's on the way to making the multiplayer portion stand alone.

Everything that's being made for the single player is going to be put into the multiplayer, even the AI bots. So the choices are to:
A. Wait a year and a half for a multiplayer release
B. Get a single player demo release mid way to keep you busy until the multiplayer patch is ready.

Basically making the single player demo is the BEST idea they can do. They aren't wasting time doing it because all of the content has to be made anyway, so why not give fans something to do while they wait?
