my first attempt at installing resulted in disaster so i thought i wiped it clean from my system but now when i try to reinstall it thinks the game is all ready installed, is there some hidden are the game or renguard is hiding in?

i usually run mine in windowed mode and at the start of the game i press the "F8" key and c, then click enter.
I also run a program called Game booster. It closes any unnecessary background processes,
Gives only couple extra FPS but every bit counts =D

ty, yeah i've been playing this since the PC Gamer issue came out with Renegade demo on the disc, June of '02 ithink, but with my new comp, someothing is locked maxing my fps at 60, but it don't matter now as of 11:15 AM PST it says no servers on Westwood...now what did i do wrong?

ok, the new westwood host gives me a message that my password is no good even though i played on it yesterday, and i can't access my account, so i downloaded renguard and when i try to play on their servers i get and endless loop of,"download renegade ptach, restrting", so i guess i will wait til TT comes out with their patch or hope someone write a install guide for windows 7 users, ty

How To:
Install Renegade on Windows 7:
1) Insert the disk in the CD/DVD drive
2) Press Install during the setup
3) Follow the steps during the setup/installation
4) Use the config program (WWConfig.exe) in your Westwood/Renegade folder
5) Start Renegade, in the main menu pick Multiplayer Online, Westwood Online, Advanced Listing, enter a random name and a password (8 letter or numbers i think). Download the patch if needed.
6) Pick a server, and there you go
Tested TWICE on Win7 x64
