It takes two people to play. You, the host, would only be one player if non-dedicated. Download the FDS and use that.

its a console server thingie. its on the westwood ftp site. i forgot the exact url but i think it's something like http://ftp.westwood.com/pub/renegade/FDS or sopmething like that
