I have to wonder...Am I the only one who thinks Halo completely sucks? Really, whats the appeal of the game? The control scheme I find to be extremely annoying, the game isn't vivid enough in my opinion, I dislike the weapons, everyone online is a complete idiot, and the overall playing style just really isn't very interesting to me.
Want a good FPS?
Timesplitters: Future Perfect
Or just play Renegade....

No, you are not the only one.
Some complaints I have of Halo:
-fluid-like movement was too slow to suit motion of infantry
-respawn time
-no teamwork in online play
-fucking fucked up sniper rifle with crap tracer (but realistic recoil/sound)
-Chatting in-game during multiplayer is horrible as the chat boxes and/or the letters are not color coded. Get's damn confusing...even to say "fuck you!"
-Vehicles spread out all over the place.
-Maps gets boring since they all look the same.
-Covenant weapons are boring
I may have more complaints but can't remember them: it's been 4 months since my 1-week marriage to Halo:CE (PC) ended.
Things I like about Halo:
-Sniper rifle has good 3-stage zoom
-Good shotgun (ROFL)
-Targeting reticle changes for different weapons.
-Piloting Banshees gives you a good feeling (since I unconditionally own in flying vehicles in all FPS games - including Renegade's Orca). Very smooth movement.
-Custom color for your multiplayer Spartan (not that it matters but still...)
-Ability to fire primary weapon/throw grenade/melee attack with weapon gives you more tighter control during those heavy firefights (not that it does not get boring in 30 seconds).
I may have missed somethings.

If you like that, DEFINITELY try out Timesplitters: Future Perfect. You can lob two kinds of grenades at once, fire a weapon, and melee attack with any weapon. I would consider it to be the best FPS ever created, give it a try some time.

Let me see if I can buy it off from online.
While I suck at shooters in consoles, Black for PS2/XBOX also has that feature. I bet Tiberium may have it too.

Possibly.
TSFP was pretty critically acclaimed, but its a small English company that made it, and mostly unrecognized. Its shouldn't be more than 10 bucks. COMPLETELY worth it.

Halo is pretty damn impressive at the competitive level.
Anyone catch the MLG this year?
Also, I hate to nitpick, starbuzz, but all those complaints are basically exclusive to Halo 1. There have been two other installments in the series since then.
