Recruit

this person today asked me how to make a LAN game
but he has a prob

When he clicks the link for LAN it says:
"No LAN IP Address found" or somthin along those lines.

He is connected to the internet and there is no firewall.

Can u help this person?

Any n00b would know, if theres no firewall, and there isnt a Hub/Router anywheres between the PC+Internet.. It's CLEARLY NOT A LAN.. Say Duh.. He needs to buy a 2nd PC and a Hub, maybe then it would work. Surprised

No offence, but don't call somebody a n00b if you don't know it better!!!!!! Mad

There are two options:
a) You have NO Lan card: Make a 1 player Internetgame (switch dedicted OFF)
b) You have a Lan card: Goto your Lansetings and the asign a Static IP to your LanCard use: 192.168.0.x (replace x by any number between 0-255)
Set subnetmask to: 255.255.255.0
