I posted something similar to this reply in another thread but it fits so well here. The comment that renegade is dying. I used to think the same thing. When BF2 came out I thought ren is gone. How could ren compete with those stunning graphics?

Renegade I can still play for hours and never get bored of it. I doubt there will be another game like it unless they come out with Renegade 2. Enemy Territory looks interesting and I hope it’s more like Ren then it is like BF2.

That’s what I wrote and it’s so true. There hasn’t been another game like Renegade yet. Sure its FPS and sure it has tanks but so what. If the game play sucks the game sucks doesn’t matter how pretty they package it. That’s why renegade will never die. Hopefully though someone will come out with a new version or a revamped one. If renegade dies then I’ll probably not play any online games until something comparable takes its place.
