When you spell quite correctly then you can go correcting other peoples spelling mistakes.

There is a large difference between me missing an "e" and what he wrote.
|
+1 letter vs -1 letter, if you call that large it's up to you.
|
He means there's a difference between being too stupid/bone idle to spell something properly and simply missing a letter by accident.
