Whenever I open rengaurd I get the following message:
Buffer overrun detected!
Program: C:\westwood\Renegade\Game.exe
A buffer overrun has been detected which has corrupted the programs internal state. The program cannot continue execution and must now be terminated.
When I click ok, rengaurd closes and so I cannot open renegade, I dont know how to fix this, help would be greatly appreciated.

1)It was working until I wiped my computer. Then I reinstalled Renegade along with Rengaurd, just started doing this for about a few months now.
2) Win 2000

If you want to play renegade without RenGuard on, then open C:\westwood\renegade\game2.ex. RenGuard 1.04 will be released soon that will fix the Buffer Overrun problem.

still waiting for the release...
I got tired or idiots who always type "!rg Alex" each time I kill them(especially when they stupidly stand still and wait for a headshot). I am a fair player and don't want to be banned only because a noob said that I'm a cheater... and i don't want to get back to that crappy WinXP from my Win2K...

If you care to play at our server, plz leave a little message on our forums (see siggy) to be sure that we OR let you play, OR kickban you (if you cheat) but not use forcerg  .

i do agree with you. but people dont try to ban me though i play alot only in black brigade server. when a buddy of mine is on he will make me a temperary moderator of the game and he's going to ask the server person to make me a full moderator of the game

I had a system with Windows 2000 and I had the same problem. Try restarting renguard until it works properly. It worked for me but it took a good 5-15 mins to make it work. If you don't like waiting, use the advice above.
