you really should have just started from a fresh install, its more efficient. RG won't install because it needs to be installed to the Renegade folder, which from what I understand you just deleted. So you have to install Renegade again, patch to 1.037 and then install renguard.

Also I believe renegade install will simply overwrite existing registry keys, but if it gives you the option to uninstall then do that first.
