currently i do not have cp1 installed, and i can use the q key to designate my passenger as gunner in tanks, but it appears that anyone who has cp1 installed cant do this, and i could not do this when i had cp1 installed....

please help, i want to run cp1 but i also dont want to have to look after gunnery myself sometimes

I've never heard of this problem. I really don't think this problem exists, because I've never had a "Q problem" with the Core Patch. But, I don't know. Huh

Uh. . . What? You can designate a gunner if the server has "Driver is Always Gunner" turned on, or something?

I think you may joined a server who didn't allow that!

As also for me with CP1 the "Q" key has always worked fine Smile

Install CP1 and never mind that your Q will work Wink

Probably.

In your Renegade directory, open the file Data\input01.cfg.

Look for the line:
VehicleToggleGunner_Primary=Q_Key


Change it to what you want. Be smart about it: while the key names aren't exactly obvious ("Q_Key" instead of "q"), they are quite self-explainatory if you look over the whole file for a few moments.

just go to options then under controls switch they key.......
