	| Making an image of the CD, then mounting the image in a virtual drive and running the game from there is easier, and keeps the game patchable. |

	| Just remove the safedisk protection from the exe then you can run it from your hard drive. It is ideal for modding because you have to keep switching between Renegade and modding tools. Also if you CD-ROM is anything like mine then it takes 5 secinds to respond and speed up even before the game will start to load. Another thing is to disable the quit confirmations and startup movies if your modding because that saves loading times.
