If he hates in-game FMV so much, I have a character who is far more deserving for the title of "Most Annoying Character" than Kane.
Anyone remember a game series called "Megarace"? Ah. . .Megarace. . . "The show that makes reality wish it wasn't." In Megarace, you play the Enforcer, a contestant whose job it is to take a fast-moving vehicle of minor destruction(ie. machine guns and missiles) and clean up the various locations of their street gangs. . .with a vengence! Throughout this mystical journey, you're instructed, mocked, complemented, and generally talked to by the balding(and later radioactive) host, Lance Boyle. Lance Boyle has the accent and attitude of New York a used car salesman. He's a bit of a jerk, a bit of a dork, but mostly, he's just an asshole.
Now, while I nominate this guy for "Most Annoying FMV Character," I will admit this. I still think he rocks. I absolutely love Christian Erickson as Lance Boyle. Rock.

See? Everyone loves Megarace! There was actually a Megarace 2 and a Megarace 3(which was also released on the PS2), though. Lance is all radioactive in the third one. And. . .he actually joins you in the cockpit of your virtual racer now via a monitor. "o/` You're falling behiiiiind, Enforcer. . . o/`" and whatnot. He's a dork.
