He plays online and everything because he already has a renegade serial. His problem is a renguard problem so he can't get on a renguarded server.

His renegade cd is probly broken, those things never last more then a few months tbh.

Yeah, both my CD's broke after a year. But clever me backed up both my discs, even though i have little use for CD2 now.

Have you acctually tried to delete to the Westwood folder in your C:\ drive after you uninstalled renegade?

I've seen a Renegade CD break it hapens more then you think. If I were you I would try do it in this steps.

1# uninnstal Renguard or whats left of it
2# uninnstal Renegade
3# Delete all remaining folders C:/Ren directory
4# go to CMD typ regedit or just run > regedit.

Search for Renegade & Westwood Delete all keys.

Reboot.

Go to taskmanager and delete all unnecesary processes.

Put in the Renegade CD, Install.
Have the 10 37 patch ready on your desktop before all of this.
Install the patch. Try to run it now with CD first.
If that doesnt work Install DJlaptops NOCD.
which can be found at www.beaconpedestal.com/nocd

If this all doesnt work, a other program or whatever you did is messing up Renegade or is conflicting with Renegade. Reinstall windows imo.
