RenGuard v1.04 (Expected Release Date: Mid-Late January)

- Improved network security
- Improved API hook prevention
- Improved memory hack prevention
- Renguard.dll has been eliminated (code has been merged with Renguard's EXE)
- Verification of contents of the script/bhs DLL's on disk and in memory
- Preventing (any method, including ones not covered in the updates) RenGuard from scanning files will result in a ban
- Renegade's EXE (Game2.exe) will be a single version for all users (RenGuard will download a new copy if you don't have the matching version).
- Improved EXE encryption on RenGuard itself (with added anti-hack safeguards, using commercial protection software)
- For people with low bandwidth, Renguard will use approximately (it does vary) 60% less bandwidth than before (which wasn't much if you weren't trying to cheat).
- Download engine now uses IE's core (which is already on your system, even if you don't use IE). Allows for smoother downloads, with less problems.

will this prevent the use of no-cd cracks because we all know the renegade CD's are of a crap quality and tend to explode

As far as I am aware, that batch file will still work as RenGuard wont be loading iexplore.exe.
RenGuard will only be linking to various Internet Explorer dlls.

Is that really a Renegade CD problem? Surprised I thought I did something bad!!! (My CD also exploded in my CD drive..... I thought it was my fault, but i never was sure as it exploded while i was doing remote connection to my home pc....

You can rent this signature for 2 euros/month.
