	| Do you mind doing something? Go into a multiplayer game now, hit F8 and enter "FPS" then hit enter. Take a screenshot, by hitting the "PrntScrn" button.
Once you remove it, go into the same game or a similar one (same map, similar number of players) and take a screenshot again, by hitting "PrntScrn".

Then post the images, or email them to me.

	| I can't uninstall it either because the uninstaller doesn't seem to remove anything, although after choosing uninstall it says it has finished performaing maintenance, and the renguard icon is gone from add/remove programs. |

	| renguard sits idle, when you are playing. there is no network activity while you are playing. it's only on startup.
thus, there is no possible way it can cause lag.

	| There must be network activity if it can verify you have not tried to add anything to ren/data during the course of the game..and at a guess it does this every so often to prevent serious misbalance in points if a renguard user decided to cheat.
also, why roll eyes? some people cannot afford good computers (or do not have access to a better network connection than 56k in their area, and renegade has one of the worst cases of multiplayer lag I've seen so it's only natural that people get uptight about even the slighest increase in lag).

	| Renegade.exe and Game.exe would still be running for a normal user.
So for a Renguard user, they're just running an extra little tiny program.

Renegade.exe, Game2.exe, Game.exe. Even on my old machine I noticed no real change.

If you honestly have a huge ass FPS drop, try F8 C [enter].

it does not scan untill a new file is put into the directory
