I made a few 'small' mappacks that can now be easy and fast downloaded off FanMaps.net:
The reason i added only 3 maps as a max for one pack is simple:
It doesnt take a freaking century before it finally finishes Razz

In addition to this there is also a "FanSuperPack" which contains all of these maps in-one,
for people with a (somewhat) faster and (somewhat) bigger patience this is a must-have:

FanSuperPack 47.00 MB:
Contains all of the below mentioned maps.

FanPack1 8.79 MB:
C&C_BunkersTS Screenie
C&C_Metropolis Screenie
C&C_Snow Screenie

FanPack2 7.30 MB:
C&C_Alpine Screenie
C&C_Bio Screenie
C&C_Sand Screenie

FanPack3 13.32 MB:
C&C_CliffsLX Screenie
C&C_Forgotten_Town
C&C_Siege Screenie

FanPack4 7.62 MB:
C&C_FieldTS Screenie
C&C_SeasideSunset Screenie

FanPack5 11.24 MB:
C&C_Hangmans_Canyon Screenie
C&C_Land Screenie
C&C_MutationRedux

w00t.

There, now everyone quickly download all of them and spread them throughout the whole Renegade Community please Very Happy
so we can finally actually PLAY on servers hosting "FanMaps" Smile Smile

I added your maps to the "MapPacks" because alot of people like "packs" better than single file downloads. I didnt think i would need any specific permission for doing so because i figured its common that mapmakers want to see their maps widely used...

But if you want me to delete them i will. Would be shit but... shit happens right?

Most mappers don't care as long as you include the orginal readme for each map. But that's most, I can't speak for Aircraftkiller. I did not download any of those so I don't know what they look like.

I don't care if you do it so long as you include the files that should be with my work, especially the Readme.txt file. Seeing as how I did all that work for free, the least I ask is to be credited and known for it.

Next time, just ask before you do something like this...

Aircraftkiller, If your maps have been released into public then you've already given permission in a manner of speaking or at least that is my way of looking at it.

I agree with all credit being given where due though.

Good job zunnie for making it easier for people to get the fanmaps they require.

Lol. Dont worry dude, i have an up to date virus scanner and took all actions required to ensure they are virusfree.
I am not a n00b and have better things to do than to kid-around trojan people for fun.

That's kinda funny. If I made shitty maps, I wouldn't want my name on them unless it meant I was getting paid for it.

They are not shitty maps.
The maps are not too big, not too small, have good texturing and are generally very good balanced.
What more can you wish for a good FanMap?
And dont even think im up ACK ass now saying his maps are nice. I dont care WHO made the maps i care HOW they are made and WHAT they are like in actual gameplay.

To each his own, zunnie. Personally, I don't like the maps.

I just think it's funny that ACK was getting so upset about you compiling his maps for easy download. I suppose in your original post you didn't explicitly say that you didn't make the maps yourself, but still... You never really took credit for his work, either.

You really don't understand, do you? Aircraftkiller just wants to be acknowledged for his work. I'm sure that if you made a map, you'd want your readme to be in there to show that you're the one that made the map. All Aircraftkiller wanted was to have acknowledgment by having his readme in with his maps.

Zunnie never attempted to take credit for those maps, and Aircrafkiller knows that. He just didn't approve of the compilation without his permission. I really don't know how you got any different. It's clear as crystal. Apparently your brain's lagging as badly as DarkDemin's sniper server.

You really don't understand, do you? Aircraftkiller just wants to be acknowledged for his work.
ACK didn't say "Put my readmes in the map packs." He said
Aircraftkiller

I don't recall giving you permission to put my work into "map packs."

j_ball430

I'm sure that if you made a map, you'd want your readme to be in there to show that you're the one that made the map. All Aircraftkiller wanted was to have acknowledgment by having his readme in with his maps.
Again, that's not what ACK said.

j_ball430

It's clear as crystal.
I really don't see how "I don't recall giving you permission" is the same thing as "Please keep the readmes with the maps."

j_ball430

Apparently your brain's lagging as badly as DarkDemin's sniper server.
I also don't see where you're getting this idea... If you really want to get into a battle of wits with me though, this is probably the only time you would even have a chance of winning. And that's just because I'm going into the hospital tomorrow morning and won't be out until mid-October. Then again, I might come off as smarter than you even without ever responding... Razz

Yeah, it'll be tough to beat the man who said that everyone hates RenAlert in a "battle of wits."

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." -- Theodore Roosevelt (1918)

"The danger to political dissent is acute where the Government attempts to act under so vague a concept as the power to protect "domestic security." Given the difficulty of defining the domestic security interest, the danger of abuse in acting to protect that interest becomes apparent. --U.S. Supreme Court decision (407 U.S. 297 (1972)

Battle of wits? Who said anything about wit? It's just a debate on a subject matter. Feel free to try to "own" me, but not likely since you don't know what the fuck you're talking about.

I never said "Aircraftkiller said...", I said that's what he wanted. I got that from reading all of his posts. If you look back over, it's easy to see that he just wanted acknowledgement.

That's funny. I don't think most "debates" involve statements like "your brain's lagging."

j_ball430

Feel free to try to "own" me, but not likely since you don't know what the fuck you're talking about.

Actually, I routinely "own" you and almost everyone else on these forums. You're all so stupid that you don't even realize it though.

Really I'm just wasting my time when I say things on these forums, because most of you guys are so stupid that my intellect is beyond you. There are some people here that actually understand what I'm talking about, but my criticisms aren't generally directed at them.

That's how most of the internet is though. (Actually, most of society in general.) The really stupid people are content in their ignorance and don't want to be educated, so even when people try to help them improve themselves, it's all for naught.
