Grrr. Nothing new I know, but I was just playing CITY FLYING on Dev's House Server, and my GDI team got spanked. Four Orcas all shooting at our own power plant, screaming DEFEND THE POWER PLANT. I run and get killed by Nod army in our pp. I spawn again inside the power plant, get killed again. Spawn in Ref, run to PP and get killed again, all while trying to disarm the dozen c4 on MCT. Of course on a 20 man team, I am one of 2 guys in the pp dealing with the situation.
Power Plant dies, Orcas fly off. Way to keep the Orcas!! GRRR.
At some point you must park your vehicle and GET IN THE BUILDING TO FIGHT THE BAD GUYS!
If everyone know this already, why doe sit still happen?

People are scared the enemy will run out can pull a grand theft auto on them, thats why they stay in the vechical.

Offcourse it's much safer when everyone in a vehicle can stay in. Everyone hopes for someone to come in and help so they can stay in. So it would be good, if everyone who came to aid would let know so others know whether to stay in or get out. If seen it happen lots of times when people get out when it wasn't nessicairy, there were enough people dealing with the enemies inside. People must have an insight on what to do. That goes for lots of situations in the game.
If noone shows up or responds it's plain to see, you must GET OUT! Maybe spamming 'Get out of the vehicle' will ring a bell. Some people are just plain stupid or just have more fun flying/driving around then be able to buy another one.

Same thing happens with people so fond of an enemy vehicle. They steal it and leave the enemy inside to destroy the building.

I have been in games... And I say: Defend whatever, and noone does anything. It gets destroyed and I see about 20 ppl in the base just standing around.

A good thing to do on a map with defenses, like City_Flying, is to park the vehicle in direct view of the AGT/Obelisk so the enemy will think twice before running to get in. [Cool]

i had a light tnank nick beucase i left it for 2 mins, i had i nicked by my own team. beucase i was heal a buidling, sudpit people.

I'll agree with you 90\% of the time.

It has to be a little subjective though.

e.g. I was in a game the other day. Map was Islands. I was a Gunner. Somehow I found myself inside the airstrip, so after placing my c4, I started pounding away on the MCT with my rocket launcher. Some guy decides to leave his flame tank to take me out. One Rocket in the face later I have a brand new flame tank, and the airstrip goes down shortly after. Now I doubt I could have finished the strip off with my rockets. So in this case the guy was definitely wrong to get out his vehicle to defend the strip.

Yes he was. But in the case of the 4 Orcas, they should get out. Land them in the AGT's view and you'll be safe.

You gotta understand that one person can make a big difference when dealing with enemies inside buildings - that's when they are the most vulnerable. If you use the keyboard while at PTs you can refill instantly and c4 the enemies to death and still have time to disarm all of the C4s as a Hotwire/Technician. Two people you say? Well taking care of the C4s should be easy.

However, you are right - if you just park your vehicle in range of the defenses you can safely run in the building and help out. If you lose the power plant then everything gets so expensive when you lose your vehicle and Stealth beaconers will nuke you to death. [Razz]

Personally I absolutely despise the Power Plant.

I will always get out and help. Always. Losing a building is unacceptable in any cir***stance. I park in view of the base defenses so if it does get stolen, the base can kill the vehicle. I'm more concerned about my own teammates stealing it. This is far more dangerous as it gives a moron a chance to use up a vehicle slot (only get so many for one team) and possibly give the veh to the enemy in THIER OWN BASE! **** YOU NOOBS!

I steal teammates vehicles.

Thats right.

But only when they are in immediate threat of being stolen by teh enemy because some noob teammate got the bright idea to repair in the field.
