Hey all,
I got a new lappy and I'm tying to get Renegade setup on it without much luck. I'm having a problem with Scripts 3.0 on up to Scripts 3.4.4 (I tested Scripts 2.9.2 and that seems to work).
Here is what I get:
Scripts 2.9.2
Works (No BHS.dll option menu in game to change settings for shaders)
Scripts 3.0
Shaders Disabled - Works
Shaders Enabled - "bhs.dll not found or did not load correctly"
Scripts 3.4.4
Shaders Disabled - "Unfortunatly, there was an error loading bhs.dll. Please report this bug!"

I have uninstalled/reinstalled Ren, RG and Scripts several times with the same results. I even copied the Scripts DLL files from my working computer to my lappy and get the same errors.
I did some more testing...
My lappy has 'Nvidia Optimus Technology' (Basicly it has a low end Intel for mundane things and a dedicated Nvidia GT 335M for 3D apps). I have tried with Nvidia drivers from 4/7/2010 (dont remember version) and also the latest set from 7/19/2010 (Version :258.96 WHQL)
I found if I set my system to use the onboard Intel video (ick) the Scripts 3.4.4 works fine. However, If I have it use the Nvidia GT 335M, I get the errors listed above! I already Installed the latest Nvidia drivers and all Windows updates. I've been racking my brain and could really use some help if anyone has any ideas.
Not sure if it helps but when it crashes on the Nvidia card, it throws this error in the Windows Application Event Log:

Also, I do not see any crash logs withing the Ren folder...

I have been trying to install it, but there is a lot of work to it. I asked someone to help me over msn but he said it takes at least 10 minutes to set it up, than there is more to do to configure it.
Failed to connect to IPbot master server. what does that mean?

I used leveledit on C&C_Undermix Temp-adding (like im suppose to) unteamed defenses like turrets and ceiling guns to attack both GDI and NOD when entering the field area, but when i load the map it crashes the server.
how do i fix this so its similar to CO-Op maps and what do i need to do to make it NOT crash?

When I installed scripts 3.4.4, I noticed that suddenly,
a certain type of water had bump mapping. Why is that?
And, how can I apply
said bump mapping to other textures/models?

I changed now my mod completly to sidebar & advanced weapon factory logic (MDB_ExpVehFac_Helipad and stuff (Whitedragon)).
But i need the JFW_PT_Hide to work.
I tried it, but nothings happens......?
Does I make it wrong or is there a bug, which not updates the PT-Data???

I'm running renegade server on lan. I can't seem to change the port values. No matter wat port i write in ini files it just ignores it. I'm using the latest bhs.dll. It use to work before with old bhs.dll. Any reason why new bhs.dll ignores port value ?

Everytime I load a map in level edit, my screen keeps spinning around the level or object. I think I have accidentally pressed a wrong button, but how can I fix this?

i got this fire wall version 1.20 i think not yet registered but it blocks my brenbot i opened all to program,ports make a rukle to allowed all connection and yet says failed to connect to rengaurd master server any ideas?

im getting server crashes, because of modified code. how am i suppost to read a crashdump? i tryed everything, logging addresses and whatnot.
can someone give me an isite to where the problem may lie.

Basicly, this corrects an issue in bhs.dll which could cause players running versions earlier than 2.7 to crash out of the game when the second map load occured.
Anyone running 2.7 or 2.7.1 on a server should download and run this (the fix only affects servers so clients dont really need to download 2.7.2)

This is just a bug-fix release on top of scripts.dll 2.7.
Get it from http://www.sourceforge.net/projects/rentools/
Changes in 2.7.1:
Made the ID console command server-only (i.e. it wont work on the client anymore). A change I made in 2.7 doesnt work on the client.
Updated the documentation for the Set_Wireframe_Mode console command and hte JFW_Wireframe_Mode script.
Fixed an issue that caused the Is_Base_Powered, Can_Generate_Vehicles, Can_Generate_Soliders and Find_Harvester engine calls to fail on linux.
Fixed the engine calls that get the max bullets and max clip bullets to work correctly.
Fixed a typo in Find_Harvester that caused it to not work on win32
Corrected the order the parameters are passed to PurchaseSettingsDefClass::Find_Definition in Get_Purchase_Definition.
Added better parameter checking to Get_Definition_Name & Get_Definition_ID.
Corrected the order the parameters are passed to Get_Purchase_Definition in Get_Team_Cost.
Added better parameter checking to Set_Enlisted, Set_Beacon, Set_Refill, Set_Preset and Set_Alternate.
Changed Set_Preset so that if the preset you remove is not the last one in the list, all the other presets are moved backwards. (if you dont do this, things break)
Corrected an issue in the definition for DefinitionClass that was causing crashes after a certain number of maps had been loaded.
Better notes for Get_Vehicle_Owner and Set_Refill in engine.h
Changed JFW_PT_Disable and JFW_PT_Disable_Death to properly call Update_PT_Data.

Dose anyone know where i can find a few tutorials on how to use rentools and renx. I know a some stuff about rentools. I don't know anything about renx.
For rentools. How do i make more buildings on to the map. Like the map, under or bunkers. I'm new at this stuff. I'm trying to learn this stuff so i can have some fun in making maps that i would think are good.
Thanks for any help that can be provided.
