Isn't it in Windows update, the thing that has all the important fixes to keep your OS in working order?

I have .Net installed since the first public beta of MS Visual Studio.Net and keep it up to date. It seems people just haven't realized that .Net will become the kernel for the upcoming Windows versions. That's it, MS will make Windows itself .Net dependant. As an example, look at the new managed version of DirectX 9.0b. It's totally .Net framework driven.

Hey people!!! Move your asses and download it!!! It's smaller than many crappy game demos you download in a daily basis. Laughing

I tell you... the "Primary" Reason that I don't install .Net by default is because.... well... it's 28 fucking MB in size..

When I'm at someone's house (or even my own) and I'm installing a fresh copy of win, connecting to the internet to do all the updates and going home for dinner, I have to decide.. do I want 36MB of Updates, or 64MB of Updates... It's a no-brainer really... dot what?

Eventually, I get around to it.. but not just because.

Not everyone knows what .net is and a lot of people seem to think it is a website because of the ".net" and not a programming language. You can bet that the people who know and have installed the .Net framework are the people who have installed java VM too from sun microsystems. It is suprising how many computer users are not familiar with installing stuff.
