The new paint color should be...[ 25 votes ]
1. Teal (original) 5 / 20%
2. Black 12 / 48%
3. White 3 / 12%
4. Yellow 5 / 20%

I have a 91 Camaro RS, sadly it is not as nice as the one in this picture... Mine is currently 3 different colors as I just replaced the passenger side door and fender, and got a hood off of a late 80's Z28.

The original color is teal, as many of the Camaros from this year are/were (see pic for reference).

Now I am ready to take it to a body shop and get a few lil things taken care of, and of course a new paint job.

So I have made a poll here to see what you peeps think would look good on this type of car.

index.php?t=getfile&id=12704&private=0

A lot of people say I should keep the original teal color, which would save me about $250 on the paint job because the door jambs... but I kinda want it to be a lil different from the 100 other teal ones I have seen around here.

I kinda like the idea of blacking it all out with windows and rims, but I have heard black will show the most of anything like dings or whatever.

White might not be too bad, besides showing a lot of dirt.

Yellow has always been my favorite color for some reason, but IDK if it would look right on this car.

Also I am open to any other suggestions as long as it is not something like pink.

Skip the paint, and do this instead:

Seriously. Throw on a set of cheap, black ralleye wheels and you'd have the most ratted out car in a thousand miles. Besides the awesome looks, the vinyl will also absorb small dings and nicks.

What we think, or what we know, or what we believe is, in the end, of little consequence. The only consequence is what we do.

I would love a lightbar... but sadly they are somewhat illegal unless you are a volunteer firefighter or something, also T-tops don't leave much room for mounting.

i belive its not illegal considering its encounted as custom lighting, like neon lights used under the cars.

Go on KnightRiderLight.com you can get it $9.99 totally legal

Just checked this out. That would look fucking awesome on my car, but I have had this thing for almost 6 years... and it has only been running for a total of 1 year throughout that period. So I don't have the patience to keep messing with it myself. It needed a paint job when I got it (a bra would have covered it).

Then when I had it running one time my boss backed into me (hence the need for door and fender on passenger side). I had just got it running and started working for the guy so I didn't have insurance... I ended up just giving him my last paycheck to pay for his damage and took mine with a grain of salt to avoid the hassle.

The lightbar would be legal, but I prolly couldn't use it on the road. I don't think they take to kindly on neons in this area either. Be nice when I am just showing it off though, lols.

Either keep it teal or go for black (strongly suggesting black)

Thing is, a good paintjob costs a lot of money. If you're thinking Maaco, then think again, because chimps paint their poo on a wall better than a typical Maaco employee.

That's why I suggested the vinyl thing. So, you'll lose a couple weeks; but then it's a job you've done yourself. Unless it's a really good paint shop, expect subpar materials, and workmanship. If you do decide to go the paint route, do ALL the taping yourself, because the employees don't give a shit about your car, and not care if they spray parts that shouldn't be painted.

Well I was gonna take my car to a local shop... but the estimate they gave me was a tad bit ridiculous. So now it looks like I will be doing more of this work myself, then I will have my girlfriend's dad paint it. He used to paint cars and I have seen his work to know it is good, also might not even have to pay. Just sucks because I need to find some more parts for the body now...

One thing after another with this car, should have got a Mustang. Don't even start with the Ford flaming to all the Chevy humpers that might be reading.
