Should we give:[ 15 votes ]
1. 2.1.3 to those with custom scripts.dll and leave those with normal WS dll alone 0 / 0%
2. 2.1.3 to people with custom scripts.dll and people with normal WS dll 6 / 40%
3. Any version that is released to people with custom scripts.dll and leave people with normal WS dll alone 2 / 13%
4. Any version that is released to people with custom scripts.dll and to people with normal WS dll 7 / 47%

As part of the new memory scanning in RenGuard 1.04 (that checks for cheats that modify memory and leave disk files untouched), a change had to be made to the way BHS.DLL is compiled.

RenGuard 1.04 will give all players one standard BHS "no-cd" exe file (since every ren exe, origonal plus all the no-cd exe files has different memory scanning results). Plus, it will give everyone running the custom scripts.dll a copy of 2.1.3 (because of the compilation changes)

I pose a question here:

Seeing that a lot of ppl have no clue what scripts.dll is or that it's a good thing, I say force everyone to dl the latest scripts, provided they are glitch free.

2.1.3 will be as bug free as humanly possible and I will continue after that to fix all bugs where I can get enough information from the bug reporter to fix it.
As for RG 1.04, I have no idea when it will be out (although we are working on it and want it out as soon as possible to stop even more cheat possibilities)
This thing about sending out the dll is for when it does come out.

OK, what we will almost certainly do is the following:
When 1.04 comes out, what will happen is this:
People with 2.1.3 will keep 2.1.3
People with custom dll < 2.1.3 will get 2.1.3
People with stock WS dll and "Core Updates" turned on will get 2.1.3
People with stock WS dll and "Core Updates" turned off will keep stock WS dll (since there are almost certainly people out there with a desire or reason NOT to have the cool new stuff in bhs.dll and if we force them to download it, they might get annoyed at BHS). Those people, if they do actually want it, can download it manually as always.

Then when a new version of the scripts.dll/bhs.dll comes out (say, 2.2), anyone with a custom scripts.dll version (including 2.1.3) will get the new version (2.2)
Everyone with stock WS dll and "Core Updates" turned on will get the new version (2.2)
And anyone with the stock WS dll and "Core Updates" turned off will keep the stock WS dll.

Everyone on RenGuard (regardless of their settings or what exe they have) will be given the "Official BHS" no-cd exe.

Would it make a difference if the people already had a no-cd.exe?

It'll be replaced with the BHS one. That's it.

As long as it works, then its all good. Thumbs Up
As for the poll, Those with the WS.dll should be given the option to upgrade to Jonwil's.dll, also to those running < 2.1.2

It doesn't matter as I certainly won't let anything scan the games memory.
