Who will win?[ 33 votes ]
1. McCain 15 / 45%
2. Obama 18 / 55%

Just a simple vote...WHO will bag the House in the end? What is your hunch...

I am saying McCain though I would vote for Obama.

EDIT: typo

McCain. People aren't as stupid as Obama makes them out to be. McCain also doesn't trash our country in Europe, has more than 143 working days in congress, and doesn't stutter if he doesn't use a teleprompter.

He's not black either. idc if it is racist, because if only THE MESSIAH is allowed to use that excuse thi world is stupid.

Obama only appeals to the idiots. In reality, he's ALOT more retarded than Bush is. Of course, everyone would jack eachother off because of how OH MY GOOOD HE'S BLACK THAT MUST MEAN HE'S GOING TO CHANGE SOMETHING.

Yeah, he'll change America... And make it worse. Granted, I don't like McCain a lot either- But I'd rather someone who only fucks up America a little than someone who fucks up America ALOT.

In reality Bush really isn't that stupid- He's CIA trained to be able to act, put up a facade etc. Watch some older videos of him as Governor of Texas and compare them to current videos.

I predict that Obama will win, but I'd much rather have McCain. Of course, I'll be voting independent if any of them are closer to my views.

I like both of them.. and what is stranger is I like both of them on opposing issues. I like McCain for believing in doing something one way, but I also like Obama for doing the opposite another way.

I'm too good at understanding someone else's side of something and not good at understanding my own side of something... I'll just say McCain cause my entire family says so. Lol.

Thanks you for thinking in an unbiased way man...! I kinda feel the same way. I would like McCain to be president but am also veyr eager to see what sort of change Obama may bring.

Remeber that very few countries respect America now...sure most are friends but many disagree with the Iraq wars. America has a major image problem that needs to be rectified soon...I am NOT so sure that McCain can do that while Obama can but not without weakining America further.

Obama would try way too hard with relations, and everything else would be fucked. Granted, he might actually do a decent job with it, but that's a maybe there. He seems like the type to put everything he can on one aspect and pretty much forget the rest. However, as President, you can't just ignore those things, so I bet he'd end up getting pretty messed up and tense, making things just crash altogether.

Sadly, most people don't realize it... Because almost his entire campaign is aimed at getting people to like him, and ignoring almost everything else. So it sucks to say that he has a good chance of getting in. I really hope he doesn't.

HOW ABOUT A RADICAL IDEA... we STOP spending money overseas with "relations", wars, and bases. We can focus strictly on what our founding fathers suggested... free trade, but no alliances.

Who do I think will win? I'm not sure. I know everybody wants "OMG CHANGE" and jump on the Obama bandwagon, but I still think this country will see through his inexperience and vote McCain. If I had to put money on it, I'd say McCain.

As for who I'd vote for, my signature tells you. Does he stand a chance? Not one bit because of Americans' stubbornness to actually do something different and vote for who they believe in, rather than a corrupt political party.

That's the other thing... the 3rd party candidate could decide the election Dont Get It

Ahahahaha. Even though I'd consider myself a Libertarian, seriously, no one ever ACTUALLY votes for people who would ACTUALLY change things. There are so many people with actually good ideas, but because they don't do alot of "behind the scenes" work like the Democrats and Republicans do, they just don't get the votes.

Americans favor someone who says they'll change shit, but in reality, they fear change.

Yeah, I pretty much said that, didn't I? Wink

I'm not going to be a part of the problem. I'm going to be a part of the solution. Voting for anybody outside of what you believe in is a wasted vote. It's that simple. Voting for the lesser of two evils is still (1) an evil, (2) not going to change anything, and (3) being complacent, and complacency is never good for liberty.

I'm not sure if America can get any worse than Bush, looking at:

* Irak: while the idea itself of cleaning out the dictator wasn't bad at all, it seems like the way it was handled afterwards wasn't 100 % terrific;
* Iran, North-Korea, ... relations;
* current economy collapse due to oil prices going sky high while noone ever invested in substitutes due to short term vision and the house credit crisis making huge banks only just survive thanks to lots of government aid;
* the whole environmental debate itself where Bush clearly choose to go for short term economic gain instead of long term vision;
* ...

I'm not seeing anything better out of the two choices we have. I think either of them is liable to send things down the toilet.

I'm pretty sure we're already circling the bowl and we're gonna end up down the drain sooner or later no matter what anybody does. The real problem is gonna be finding somebody who can unclog the fucker afterwards without royally screwing the People.

A couple days ago, a poll came out saying Obama was at 48%, and McCain was at 40%; frankly, I figured it'd look worse for Mac. Still, unfortunately, it looks to be that it'll be Obama who'll be the one sleeping in the White House.

What I don't like about America's politics is that everything has to be either black or white. (That isn't a comment on race <_< )

I mean, people are either 100% "OMG T3H CHANGE IZ BAAD!" or 100% "EVURTHIN IZ BROKKEN AND NE3DS T3H CHANGE!"

What we need is a government that is able to actually sit down, analyze a situation, and determine if it is ok on its own, or if it needs to be reworked into something that will be ok on its own. Then actually do something to make it work.

This is why I hate people who consider themselves conservatives or liberals for that one reason I mentioned above. Screw what you think change is. "Oh change is good" "No change is bad" drop that outlook on what you think "change" is and instead focus on the issues.

Sure not everyone will like a change in something that we know all to well, but you cannot progress without sacrifice.

Excellent points ^....the problem we have is that over the many years, some private rich n00bs and the so called "higher" society have grown very close with the leadership...

Take for example the Pentagon's closeness with the military-industrial complex. We want to go to war ONLY after all the facts are in place...not to go blindly and in turn give good business to your friends. The government should not be that close friends with anyone from private sector even if they are filthy rich and have status.

IMO, if McCain wins, he will merely fit into the chain that's been in place for long...he will play the high-stakes game that every president's been forced to play. If Obama gets it, he won't fit into any chain...and he will start anew with many confused enemies.

I honestly don't think any of this change can be done by one man...

Obama is such an idiot, its unbelieveable.
Consider the hypothetical situation: My dad runs for president of the neighborhood committee. This is hypothetical and my dad doesn't act like this

What are you going to do for the neighborhood?

Dad: I'm going to start a comittee to analyze the problems in this neighborhood. Then I'm going to assign people to fix the problem.

No, what is HE specifically going to do?

Dad:I'm going to start a comittee to analyze the problems in this neighborhood.

No, what is HE specifically going to do to fix the problems other than signing it over to other people?

Dad:I'm going to start a comittee.

No, what is HE specifically going to do to fix the problems other than signing it over to other people?

This is precisely what Obama is doing. He's avoiding the questions and using the nonanswers as answers. This will only happen for so long, then people are going to want actual results and not pandering like he's been doing. Thats why I can't understand why people will elect this idiot into office. He's not the next FDR.

I originally somewhat defended him, but no more. He's an arrogant, country bashing, elitist. The fact that he got heckled by other blacks and lost means that there are some people that are seeing through his pandering. I can't stand the guy, because he's flip flopped on so many things, its not funny anymore. He's changed his gun position several times, he's moving right on the war on Iraq and Afghanistan. I just hope this idiot doesn't get into office. I also don't really care for him using the race card all the time and blaming it on the Republican party.

As Rush Limbaugh said, "If you can't stand either team, pull for the one you hate least." I'm not impressed much with McCain, I'd rather have Mitt Romney but he left. I sincerly hope his country makes the right choice.

Your assumption that Democrats (including Obama) are that much different from Republicans just shows how naive you are. Both parties are essentially the same. They just have slightly different agendas, neither of which are positive for America.

We need a third party leadership. Be it Libertarian, Green, Constitutional, or any other party that will shake up the results. I just pray that it'll never be the Communist or Socialist parties.

Edit: That Rush quote would work if there were only two choices. As it is, there are DOZENS. It makes no sense why someone would hate both apples and oranges, but force themselves to choose one or the other, even though they could just as easily want mangos, pineapples, grapes, kiwis, plums, nectarines, peaches, etc...

Sure, the store may only carry apples and oranges, but if you bitch and moan and still buy one of the two fruits, the store isn't going to change a damn thing because you're still buying fruit.
