Would you suspect him?[ 34 votes ]
1. Yes 17 / 50%
2. No 11 / 32%
3. I'd get him tested 6 / 18%

If you were playing on sniping server and a player had/did the following would you classify him as a cheater?
  • Has MVP 10 times running.
  • Has 20 more kills than anyone on his team.
  • Never shoots any other part of you other than your head.
  • Never misses
  • Has the reaction time of a bird.
  • His team-mates only ever get a kill if they aren't with him or somehow he gets killed.
  • Ands dodges so fast he looks like he's vibrating.

No, because most anti-cheat solutions today are very hard to get past. I suspect you're just whining like a bitch after getting beat in a sniper server.

Yes I got pwn't in a sniper server, but I'm not here to whine "OMG banz that perzon!".
Most servers don't use BIATCH let alone require Renguard, so it is quite possible.

I'm just curious if anyone thinks this is possible via skill, caffeine and a an extremely low ping.

Low ping, High FPS, High SFPS, fast gaming computer, good flatscreen monitor, good Wireless and infrared mouse, in the mood for sniping, had enough caffeine, fast reaction time, great luck. The result of a combination of them all is kinda what you described, but seeing as that's not the case so easily, there's got to be a triggerbot or *cheat name removed*involved in some cases.

Sometimes I just get lucky and am in the right mood for Renesniping, and I just headshot a few people in a row easily, making them go like w?Tf ch3t.

TD is bad sniper, don't listen to him. Big Grin

The best snipers will always take the shot that is easiest, this guy was prolly rgh'in.

It usually occurs that you can hit the arm or foot of someone when they are behind a wall, therefore if this sniper was truely the best he would have done this, rather than always hs. It is also possible to hit someone's gun when it slightly sticks through wall,
a reallly really good sniper would also be able to do this.

What was the guys name?

well as of right now testing someone or asking for screen shots means nothing. because unless its a really dumb cheater he would deactivate the cheats then give you a clean ss. rg is easily bypassed and thus only thing you can do is follow someone and keep recording their gameplay. until you have enough evidence to build a solid case to ban them.

or if you are a dick and have the power just ban them and not even need any proof... as some of us already know... no names mentioned.

but again there is hope, the new patch should be taking care of all of this.

i have been staying away from sniper servers for the last while. and i will be back in them once the patch comes out, since i would love to see how many of the great snipers will suddenly loose their skill, and how many will still dominate.

i just hope all the elite players that own 95% of the people dont suddenly have to take an indefinite break... and might not be ever back to ren.

@NuneGa: Agreed. A truly great sniper will take the shots they can get (arm, foot, weapon, w/e) while still having enough patience to wait for a makeable shot. Someone who goes for the head all the time is either misguided or RGHin'.

As far as the issue of skill vs. ch33ts goes...I think we will see a drop-off in the level of sniping in the general populace and a resurgence of classical AOW play (with teamwork and good driving/tanking as well as some fairly decent sniping instead of ub3rsniping at the expense of all else).

Hmm... odd. Because I usually have a much better k/d ratio than someone who only gets body shots. Not to mention it solves the problems of refill complaints.

I ALWAYS aim for the head when I'm a sniper. I may not always hit, but its always aimed at the head. I'm by no means the best, but only aiming for the head has yet to prove futile.

The only exception being in an "AOW" scenario where the person is almost dead anyway. Even then its still a "one hit one kill" situation.

edit: Hmm.. missed the second part about hiding behind the rock the first time. If that is the case, then yes.. take what you can get. Under every-day "normal" situations where you are picking off people running around, it is a shot for the head.

My point is the best snipers will easily hit body parts if they cannot hit head, whereas a *cheat name removed*sniper won't hit you when ur arm is sticking out.

Also if you get up close to a good sniper he may hs the guy behind you, whereas a *cheat name removed*sniper will keep aiming at you even if you are lagging all around them.

I wasn't running recording software at the time so I don't have any proof of this. I can't even scavenge a name anyway from my chat-logs because RR filled them with NULLs. Don't bother trying to find his name.
