It is more than just 44.6 Billion. If you read the details there offer is very impressive. Also, they are very determined.

The smartest move M$ made latly is is buying a company in Virtualization tech. (To most likely compete) with the high end VMWARE ESX solution.

I don't see Yahoo as a real strategic move, as MSN is alot more popular, though ofcourse this will help the M$ imperium.

With the Server 2008 infront of the door and VT already integrated.
I think M$ wil keep groing and groing

Sooner or later Time will tell.

About time Yahoo! disappeared. Never liked the bastards. I hope Microsoft will find another name to replace "Yahoo!"

Because Yahoo thinks they are losing money and aren't doing as well as they used to, so Microsoft(or Craposoft as I call em) are there to sweep up Yahoo.

they will fail if they try this, google has a bunch of brand loyal users.

Will be interesting though to watch yahoo fail.

This is a true fact (google it lol). Yahoo leases Google's search engine for their search. So no matter if you google or yahoo your still googling.

Click me || And ME!

They WERE powered by Google. But they bought out Inktomi which owned other search engines like the AltaVista search engine. But they didn't feature any of those engines on their own website. Now, they used Inktomi's search engines and Google's search engine as a starter for "Yahoo! Slurp" ^,^

If Yahoo is having problems as much as they say they are...then Microsoft can probably help fix them. They are probably one of the only company's who can invest billions to turn them around.
