Note: If you do not understand what this is or how to do it then get someone who does to look at it.

in the other topic you wrote:

ok i go to the point that it asks to support large drive than it says it cannot find the c drive what is wrong?

If you can execute FDISK from the dosprompt and it 'finds' your HD you SHOULD be able to partition it.

Just read EVERYTHING twice be4 you make any changes. There are a few options 1, 2 ,3 ,4 5 i think (cant look now i run xp pro atm). With option 1 you can choose to create a Primary partition if i'm not mistaken..

Can you describe EXACTLY what it displays on your screen? text, options, errors etc.. Screenshot would be cool but...

You must startup the pc with a startup disk.
On the command line type:

fdisk [enter]

It will ask you if you want to enable support for large drives, answer this with yes.

Then, you must choose to "Create a primary partition" it will ask you if you want to use all space available and make the partition active.
In your case, since you dont know FDISK its best to answer this with yes.

Once this is completed restart your pc with the startup-disk again and on the command line type:

format c: /v:win98 [enter]
