What do you mean by "see"? You mean in "My network Places"? By ping? Sharing?

lol... not a problem... to clarify and make sure I understand this:

When you're on the w2k machine, you can't ping the w3k machine and the w3k machine can't ping back.

When you're using CE, you can ping/see the w2k machine, and it can see/ping you, but you can't ping/see the w3k machine nor can it ping it back?

If you're on the w3k machine... can you ping/see anything?

Nah, i think i confused ya, sorry its like this:

When im on the w2k machine the w3k can see/ping me but the w2k machine can't see/ping the w3k

When i switch to CE i can see/ping the w3k machine but the w3k machine can't see/ping the CE machine

Ok, im gonna try and actually think logicaly now and work out why this is, it might just be windows 2003 server has some compatibility issues.

It may be... small question though, are all these machines on the same network segment?

In that case, have you checked the ip configurations (mainly gateway) for the computers? ... sometimes if the gateway or a mask is wrong it does some strange things.

Laughing Glad I could help... I knew if it wasn't a compatability issue it was going to be one of those kick yourself in the ass things. Just glad I remembered some of this stuff... sooner or later (or when I have enough money) I'll go and take those darn certification tests.
