I can't delete all my memories!

Also, I've tried deleting a few and it doesn't seem to make me able to send anyways.

once they're deleted, they're in a Trash file and still exist
you have to empty that for them to actually go away
it's odd

So that's around 250mb worth of PMs for me... it just builds up over the years I guess, might help if I ever got around to deleting old ones... Razz

Are you sure?
I'm at little under 25% with a little under 500 messages. It implies that messages are roughly:
500MB max*25%=125MB in use
125MB used/~500 messages=250 KB for each message in my inbox and sent. Sounds like a lot for just a bit of text.

I suspect it also counts the size of any attachments that happen to be on the messages. It'd be useful if you could sort your inbox by message size to make it easier to find the "easy wins" in terms of reclaiming space. Heck, just showing us the size somewhere on the list of messages would be useful... right now you have no idea how big a particular message is :/

It does, it was telling me I was exceeding that 500MB limit by a few bytes originally.

And yes, I know that I'm estimating when I say it's set to 500MB, but that's what the setting is at. If there's a bug, or if more data is being stored than is necessary, I can't control that until I get around to upgrading the backend software.

That wouldn't even be half a megabyte :/
(500000 bytes is ~0.476MB)

LOL you're right... I totally skipped kilobytes. Maybe I'll bump it up a bit. Wink

Now it's 5000000 - roughly 5 MB. An increase by a factor of 10 should be enough for most of you.
