Howdy, my server is running 4.0 beta 3. If someone is in my server, they can't see what they type in team chat or all chat, just private messages to and from other players. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

I'm not sure exactly what you mean. Does only the sender not see the message or do none of the players see them? Do the messages show up in the FDS console? I'm guessing that this is caused by a faulty plugin and/or conflict between 4.0 and some other mod though.

No one can see chat, including the FDS console. The only chat that works is the personal messages. The plugin I am running is the LuaTT.dll for beta 3.

sla.ro and TT need to communicate then (as he created it). I'm sure it's something minor.

Make sure the plug in is not setting everyone to team renegade, or perhaps it is trying to take all chat as a password. I do not know it is the default but I know someone hosted a server for Rp2 once, and passwords did not show up in global chat, so if it is taking everything as the password, nothing would show up. Just an idea however.

Can you clarify "Make sure the plug in is not setting everyone to team renegade"?

The only stuff I did was in the OnChat function. Commands for buying guns, vehs, chars, "houses" and some basic build stuff, toggle fly mode, parachute, and spawning bots. I didn't fiddle around with permissions, passwords, moderators, etc. The commands work, just can't see what was typed in team chat or all chat. .

You mean that you use a chat hook in lua? In that case I guess that lua uses the wrong return value for the chat hook which blocks the messages.

Wouldn't that affect only the commands affected by the plugin and not normal messages people send like "hello"?
