Game hangs on 'gameplay pending' when jo ining a server [message #449502]

Ok so I fixed the problem getting a server list up but (yawn) now I have another obstacle I didnt have before.

I enter a server and the loading bar completes and server starts , even the first few messages come up at the top of the screen, but the screen is still blue with the message ' gameplay pending' in green and it then crashes and says renegade is not responding.

Is this due to recently installing the first decade?

Very annoying just cant seem to get playing atm.

Edit: Now instead of hanging it throws me straight back to desktop.

Is this via XWIS/WOL or GSA? Try both, also try restarting your PC a few times just in case (considering it's now acting up differently). Do you got custom scripts.dll 3.4.4 installed?
