So my The First Decade disk is scratched very badly, but I can still use it. The problem is that I'm worried that one day it will not be readable.. So would it be illegal for me to make a copy of that disk for my self only and not distribute it for someone else?

Probably but who cares? As long as the serial's are yours and yours alone, why worry?

IDK how it is in the USA but in the Netherlands you can copy discs for personal use.
AFAIK it's not even illegal to download it, as long as you own a serial for the game. It's illegal as soon as you sell copies or crack downloads.

oohh ooh wee ohh ooh we oohh ohhh, don't worry, be happy now

Here's a little song I wrote
You might want to sing it note for note
Don't worry, be happy
In every life we have some trouble
But when you worry you make it double
Don't worry, be happy

Ain't got no balls to take the risk
Cos Somebody came and scratched your disc
Don't worry, be happy
The landlord say your serial is fake
U say nigga i owned this since 98'
Don't worry, be happy
Don't worry, be happy

Don't worry, be happy, Don't worry, be happy
Don't worry, be happy, Don't worry, be happy

ive copied cds for my own use for years no cops shown up to my house. If the cd is copyable then no it shouldnt be illegal for personal use if you have to have some special equipment to copy it yes it is (but this is my personal opinion)
