Take a look at the screenshot below, but basically one day I wanted to restart my BR so I closed it down and now this pops up (launched it through command prompt) and it closes itself soon after Huh Nothing was internally modified, does this mean the internal copy of gamespy.pm (in brenbot.exe?) got corrupted somehow? Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Edit hosts file in C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\

It would appear master.udpsoft.com no longer resolves to a valid IP address, hence why it returns with length 0. The next build of BR will contain a check to ensure it is >0 (and hence prevent it crashing), but I am not sure why the ASE servers no longer resolve correctly.

Thanks for the reply guys (it worked), could this be related to the fact GSA no longer works with Renegade? Ive been told my multiple people it doesn't even let you get to the Renegade lobby anymore...


Has Gamespy finally dropped C&C Renegade support? Dont Get It

hey Yyy i love resurrection i have now version 1.1.4 installed but when i get update it crases and i`ll love to have version 1.1.6 but i can`t find et please help my if you can (sorry my english)

i try time ago to send to you crassdumps files but yrr@icefinch.net is not available it say "client of predetermined mail not this correctly installed" i don`t know what is that,any way version1.1.4 works just fine for now, about rr version 1.1.6 if you tell my where i can download that i will by a very happy person jeje sorry about "Yyy"

Just tested the mail address and it works fine. Must be a problem on your side. Do you compress the crash dumps?

Version 1.1.6 is only available as auto-update, but is pretty much the same as 1.1.4 since I had to pull Version 1.1.5 because of many problem reports. So there is no need to update from 1.1.4 to 1.1.6 right now Wink

thanks for the info perhaps you can help my whit this when i update rr 1.1.4 to 1.1.6 it crases i take a screenshot of the error it is not a crassdump download that if you are interested, i think rr is one of the best resourses for renegade player and perhaps you can make it already beter whit idiots like my bothering you whit this reports jeje (sorry my english)

^Never ends up joining the channel, but I connect fine with mIRC. Tried changing the botname, channel, n00bstories to noobstories, port, everything but nothing works Huh

I have seen that happen before when a bot is ZLined by the server... usually that would also prevent mIRC from connecting from the same IP address though...

The fact it's also dropping it's connection to the RenGuard server indicates you may have a network connectivity problem?

Its not from the same IP, its being run from a dedicated server and not my home connection. Anyway to test if its being zlined for sure?

Could it be related to the ASE network issue and should I try putting the renguard DNS in my hosts file too?

Only easy way to test if it's zlined is to install mirc on the same box and try to login and see what happens. If it is zlined you will have to ask Crimson to look into why it happened and unban the IP.

Ok, connecting to another IRC works so I guess ill talk to n00bstories about this, but Danpaul, should you update the Renguard master server ip? Because it currently points to a different one than irc.n00bstories.com and im pretty sure they run off the same box (and maybe thats why it always DC's the first attempt)?

p.s: IPDB is also offline Satisfied

Just an update, it was indeed Zlined (they assumed it was a spambot), so got it removed and now its runs just fine.
