Hey,

So when I boot up Renegade through Renguard, my anti-virus detects Renguard connecting to the internet and downloading a file. The file is called index.bin and my anti-virus blocks it like it is a virus. Is this file needed by Renguard or is it malicious?

Some anti-virus tend to detect things falsely .

If you still dont trust that file try it with a different AV and see if they detect it.

That file does not contain executable contents, nor are its contents executed. It is a list of RG master servers, that is all.

This does not mean that the download is immune to being hijacked.

Renguard is a wonderful initiative
