While I don't necessarily want to get into a huge debate on here and I don't quite understand all the circumstances of the split ... I hope Xpert the best for his new community ... I'm not going to bother him, even though I did make some remarks on atomix-gaming about his choice of staff... I don't really see how they can be kissing that much ass to just brush everyone under the rug like dirt but oh well. I don't know the full story.

I messed with one person's facebook and automatically I hack the world. I only did it to Anthrax because he continuously fucks with me for the last 3 years and I needed to put a scare on him for him to piss off. I gave him his shit back and he knows how I did it. I even told him about Facebook having the worst security ever and it's been proven. Just Google it.

Basically from what I have seen since I came back is you ban for entirely personal reasons at atomix. You got rid of Campa, the best thing atomix ever had and the reason why it was popular. And you also have became hated by most of your mods and people all through renegade. I remember you when I first gave you access to the box and you set up you cloudyserv on ungy and my clanwars server. You were nothing like this. It seems the power has gone straight to your head and you are running you community in a dictatorship. Why do you think all your mods were about to walk out on you? You don't listen to anyone and you will seek at nothing to get revenge. So do not come on here trying to act like this is all bullshit because you fucking well know the main problem is YOU.

Just to clarify a few things:
1) Whether he has a modification/plugin for IPB to read private messages is irrelevant. Any site administrator can simply go into the SQL database itself and read from there.
I am not saying Xpert or any of his admins do this, I am simply stressing the fact nothing on the internet is really private, it's all a matter of how willing the administrators are to protect your data.
2) Although most web application protect your passwords by hashing it (and hopefully with a salt as well) to make it near impossible to crack for the average person, that only means it is safe from prying eyes going through the SQL database.
It does not prevent malicious administrators from altering the PHP code (or whatever other language the software is written in) to log the passwords you input, email them, or even remove the hashing method entirely.
This is one of the reasons I don't like all these solutions like "OpenID" or "Facebook Connect", they depends too heavily on mutual trust.
Again, I am stating this to enlighten people about security, not to imply Xpert or his admins do this.
3) When Anope IRC Services is set to no hash method (which it is by default afaik) it stores the passwords in a simple text file anyone can read. Using the getpass command while connected is unnecessary. Additionally, the getpass command does not work when the passwords are set to use a hash such as md5.
Most IRC networks tend to use the name services.example.com which makes it easy for you to check how they're saving your passwords.
If I type /quote version services.* it gives me this on Atomix's IRC.

Notice the (enc_none) which indicates the passwords are saved as plain-text.
My point is not that anyone is reading your passwords, because honestly I doubt they care. My point is you are putting your trust in the network administrators, on this site, on Atomix's site, and every other site you're registered on.
To sum up my 3 points above: Use different passwords and don't put anything on the internet that you wouldn't want to be made public.

It's expert's lucky andm y unlucky day... Everyone seems to have forgotten about this rule, which was introduced by the administration a few months back (God knows why...).

This means I need to go through all the logs (ble) to check if there's private information in it... which I guess there is, otherwise it wouldn't be able to cause this much drama! As I have no time to do this at this moment, I removed them for the moment.
I must admit I don't like it, but if we're going to enforce a rule in one situation then we need to stay regular and do it in the other situation as well.
As to the whole drama, all I'll say is that there's no shame at working in Mc Donalds at all, at least it's a contribution to the economy and that IPB doesn't just go spitting out emails with PM's to the admins. I know what I'm talking about there...

Ok, let me get this shit clear about this whole PM reading thing, etc. These are Atomix's second forums. Our first ones were lost. I had a person named Hawk (some people know him on IRC as NotHawk or Tyler, or whatever other 1000 names he had), but I had him re-do the Atomix forums. Eventually I removed him for being inactive. Then a week before the incident in November, I was looking through the emails that's connected with my site info and I found messages from the forums. It was the forums sending me emails every time someone made a new one as if it was a PM to me. I freaked out. I knew it wasn't from IPB itself because I've had version 2.3.4 before and I never had that occur ever. So every time I got the messages, I would just delete them. Then that day came a week later where I was on a "rampage" due to an incident in my family. So a few people were on a revolt against me talking about making a new community and all that. So while reading emails, I got those PM messages again. I read 3 of them and only 3 of them. 1 was a PM sent from Armani to RenGirl and the other 2 were from Speedy to Dippy. Those 2 pms contained stuff about the whole "take over Atomix" whatever stuff. Long story short, that passed on, got stopped from there and things were resolved for now at that time. But I was still under heat about the pm reading. I don't feel good about it myself and I read them anyways. So I googled and looked around for awhile. I couldn't find a solution. So I upgraded the IPB to 2.3.6. By then I realized, it stopped. I didn't get the emails again. I will still under heat about the whole PM thing so I even told shai, I don't know where it comes from, and I remember sending a screenshot to someone about it to maybe help me find the problem. I even told Shai to ask Hero to look around the web stuff since he was our web admin at that time. To my understanding, nothing came up.

I do like the shit dippy has been spreading about how I boycotted the server, lied about the PMs, lied about the Anthrax stuff. Once again Xpert, I thank you for the post. I do not need to do logs or the other I was planning. You screwed yourself far better and cleaner than I could have.
Most of the time I wasn't even on, because of how I felt about the whole fucking thing. When I was on I wasn't really there.
Hell when/if this blows over. Have a chat with Trojan(or me) and you can see for yourself how things went down. I did not want the split, he knows it, the rest know it.
Yes I did make a few contingencies of what I would do for the ones who followed me. That is what we of the human race call "leadership", you might learn it some day. I used to manage people far longer than you before I left Illinois.

This means I need to go through all the logs (ble) to check if there's private information in it... which I guess there is, otherwise it wouldn't be able to cause this much drama! As I have no time to do this at this moment, I removed them for the moment.
I must admit I don't like it, but if we're going to enforce a rule in one situation then we need to stay regular and do it in the other situation as well.
As to the whole drama, all I'll say is that there's no shame at working in Mc Donalds at all, at least it's a contribution to the economy and that IPB doesn't just go spitting out emails with PM's to the admins. I know what I'm talking about there...

I am not condoning any invasion of privacy, but it does seem that xpert is getting a hard time for his mistakes.
I'm not saying any of what he did in retalliation is right, but you really have to weigh up his total deeds, rather than judge him on One incident.
It does seem to me in the renegade community (and indeed life actually), that One screw-up and you're name is mud.
You can be a pretty good guy for 99% of the time, but that 1% makes you a dousche bag in everyone else's eyes. No one is perfect, we all make mistakes.
When people are making their minds up about xpert, try to remember all the money, time and effort he has put into renegade and the community.
I'm not saying trust him with your passwords, but it would be a shame if he was thought of as scum bag.
Sometimes you have to see past mistakes, and have a little compassion and forgiveness. We've all done things in our lives that have needed forgving, and we're not proud of.

Ummm, I'm not really on anyone's side here. But trying to degrade someone for working at McDonalds while going to college is quite stupid. Anyone who has actually gone to college and got a degree knows that you can't have a real job and take 15-20 credits per semester. When you are in college, you should be poor as that what makes it fun. The funnest times in college are when you are dirt poor with your roommates. If everyone worried about making riches while in college, they would never graduate as it would consume their lives.
I also hope that those of you who are degrading Xpert for working at McDonalds, better have their own careers and are not living at home under their momma's and daddy's paycheck. If you have the audacity to degrade someone for being poor (by your standards) you should be able to back it up with your own overachieved resume. Since it's the time of year were we have to file taxes, lets see some W-2 forms (or Canadians equivalent T9 forms) so you can add some credibility to your claims.  If the forms are legitimate, we can try and convince Crimson to change your title on the forms to "Fabulous".
