Fonts too big at 1900x1200 [message #412756]

Recruit

I just reinstalled Renegade on my Windows 7 system. I now have a 24inch monitor running at 1900x1200. Before, I had a 19inch running at 1024x748. The problem is that the fonts on the tool tips with the health bar for players and plants are way too big, so big that they obscure the health bar making it very hard to see. I tried to play with the font settings in stylemgr.ini, but no matter what settings I choose, it seems not to make any difference in the game.

Any advice?

Did you change the default font DPI setting in the control panel?

(Otherwise, it's the chosen resolution, and there's not much we can do)

It's a known fact that Renegade does not scale font sizes very well with higher resolutions. I have the same problem on my 1680x1050 resolution, but not quite to the same extreme.

My suggestion would be to simply select a lower resolution with the same aspect ratio if its really that hard to see the health.
