Screen Resolution Problem [message #404132]

So I installed Renegade on a new computer I recently built, and installed the core patches, but It won't run on the correct resolution. In my renegade config tool it says that I'm running on the resolution I WANT to run it on which is 1600x900, but when I start renegade it runs on 800x600. This only happens when I use CP2's game2.exe so I don't need to put in the disc, and I'm way too lazy to actually use the renegade disc.

Does anybody know how to fix this?
