So i've been told that renguard works on vista x64 by an admin over at n00bstories telling me he got x64, and it works for him, but i keep telling him i dont work for me, and that it never will, so my question is

DOES THIS GOD DAMN FORSACEN SHIT PROGRAM WORK ON x64?? CAUSE I CANT MAKE IT WORK!! and im lazy to use search

and n00bstories force RG upon users to play there, and when you enter = kick for not using RG, i call that real bullshit, what if we dont want/can run RG!?

SVKP.sys, the runtime execution packing service, does NOT function on x64 Operating Systems.

Renguard uses SVKP.sys, and consequentially, does not, in general, work on x64 systems.

The admin in question is probably an ex BHS member, and therefore has access to a private (non runtime packed) build, just as it is known that Mac (I think) has a private Linux build. (Which also has no runtime packing, and therefore cannot be released)

You need to take this up, in a mature fashion, with the n00bstories admins.

Renguard is a wonderful initiative

I Also have a x64 bit system running vista and i have never had any probs running renguard or ren with it, its funny how everyone blames the op system, when deep down you must know it's not that, its the user.

i know you heard this before but i am going to say it again anyway.....GOGGLE IS YOUR FRIEND.

GOGGLE IS YOUR FRIEND.

THE GOGGLES THEY DO NOTHING

With an x64 OS, it's going to be a hit or miss. If it works for you, then lucky you. Don't lose sleep over it if it doesn't.

Here's an idea, downgrade to 32bit.

I think everyone in the Renegade community knows you have Vista 64bit, and there is a million topics on problems you are having but with zero solutions. If you're having such a nightmare with the problems you post about; format and install Vista 32, or heck.......XP.
